Latest News From The GIHSC Committee The Supporters Club Committee is happy to keep Flames Supporters informed regarding matters that have been raised and discussed at their meetings. The Committee last met on 19th February 2024 when the following matters were discussed and actioned. With a healthy bank balance, it will be possible to make a further presentation to the Flames this season. The presentation will be paid to the Flames from the supporters club and 200 club on 31st March. The 50-50 is currently averaging around £400. Puck sales raised over £500 this season, nearly £1750 has been raised on the sponsor grid and pride socks and shirt raffles have also raised money for the club. Tickets for the year-end social event on Monday 8th April went on sale on 25th February. A 2nd card reader will be purchased to allow shirt auction and raffle money to be separated on the night. Season tickets will go on sale in March for 2024/25 and there will be a small price increase on all tickets. The Spectrum is replacing the lighting and likely the kickplates on boards during the summer. Player of the Year awards voting will need to take place in March for presentation on 8th April. A question was raised regarding merchandise and the possibility of an online store. The club will not be extending the merchandise range as stock levels required for a wider range of merchandise mean that the club would almost certainly lose money. An online shop is being considered however. This season’s retro night will be on March 23rd. A “memorial” page on the Flames website to honour volunteers who are no longer with us has now been launched. All supporters are welcome to suggest individuals for inclusion if they have not been recognised.
