Greg boasts more than 400 games of pro experience. He arrived at Spectrum after a pair of seasons with Coventry Blaze where he tallied 34 goals and 122 points in 111 starts. In 2009-2010, his first at Blaze, he registered 25 goals and 50 assists to help the club to the EIHL title. He also earned an ice hockey journalist selection to the league’s 2nd all-star team along the way. Greg’s UK experience began back in 2005-2006 when he joined the Basingstoke Bison. He remained with the Herd for 4 consecutive seasons, posting an impressive offensive showing with 93 goals and 253 points over his longest stretch with a single club. His first stop out of junior hockey was a single playoff game in 2002-2003 with the Missouri River Otters in America’s United Hockey League. He started the next season with the East Coast League’s Pensacola Ice Pilots where he had 12 goals and 30 assists in 57 games before following that up with 34 points at Varese in Italy; his final stop before debuting on UK soil. Internationally, Chambers represented the Blaze during their participation as the reigning league champions in the Continental Cup where the team held a 2 and 1 record against competitors from France, Poland, and a Latvian based Belarusian side. He has also iced in World Championship play for Team Great Britain. In 15 games with the national squad, Greg has 6 goals and 14 assists. During the 2007-2008 event, he led the championship in points with 11 and was rewarded with a tournament all-star selection. A year later, he was instrumental in a national team Bronze medal when his 6 assists led all others in the competition.
