This is Paul’s 14th season with the club, and 6th holding the dual head coaching-playing role. Last season, the Durham native guided the team to its best showing in more than a decade when they completed the ‘double’ thanks to league and cup title capture. He took the controls in 2007-2008 and the team has won nearly 70% of its games, not to mention 5 championships across all 3 competitions, during his play calling tenure. Last season he reached a couple of personal milestones, becoming one of just 2 Flames players to ever ice in 700 or more games while also becoming the 4th player to reach the 500 point plateau. In all, he has been involved in 11 of 15 trophies won since the club’s inception. His outstanding career includes international play with Team GB as well as an NHL camp with the Calgary Flames.
